God Is The Source of Our Strength 2

Where would we be today without the help we receive from God and the strength He gives for living a life of righteousness? Without that strength our life would be nothing. In fact Jesus made that very clear. “I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can  do  nothing.”  (Jno.15:5).  In  a  world  of  unrest,  disrespect,  and  all  kinds  of ungodliness; where do we find any kind of peace . . . real peace?  May it be announced with clear tones: God is the great source of strength for peace...real peace!  In what other place, or what other book could one find such wonderful words as those noted in the Holy Book of God?  “Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.” (Matt.5:9). The strength which is always found in Godly peace, and noted in this verse is beyond measure. Without doubt, God Almighty is the God of peace; the Messiah is the Prince of peace, and upon His entrance into this greatly disturbed world, the Heavenly Host sang praises “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will  toward  men.” (Lk.2:13-14).   With this peace given to those who are His, He promised, “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you.”  (Jno.14:27).  This will dispel anxiety and bring rest, contentment, and strength!  We are told “To be spiritually minded is life and peace.” (Rom.8:6). When the life is occupied by godly peace, then the Gospel of peace is taught, and everyone will put themselves to the studying of the Bible concerning this part of Christianity, and will make for a stronger family, person, and congregation.

I  believe that there must be a daily plan by everyone who are His to have the vision of restoring this strength throughout the land! This plan and the vision must first start with self. Therefore, we will be peace loving. We will be considerate. We will be longsuffering.  We will fill our conversation with peace that is found in Christ. Why? Because we are in the manufacturing business! What are we to manufacture? Peace! (Matt.5:9). The peacemaker must be strong for he will have to take blows from all sides. However, be encouraged, for God who is the source of our strength furnishes us with the  armour we need to carry out His plan for peace and strength. You will notice that part of this armour is described in this fashion: “And your feet shod with the preparation of the Gospel of peace.” (Eph.6:15).   Thank God for His word, the peace that can be ours, and the strength we must have each day. “...Praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name. In the day when I cried thou answeredst  me, and strengthenedst me with strength in my soul.”  (Psa.138:2-3).
