Pornography
There
is little to no doubt about the fact that the divine standard of morality is under severe
attack today and
with deadly aim.
There are a number of religious
organizations that are members of the National Coalition Against Censorship (NCAC). A group which
fights to keep porn magazines and porn videos on the shelves of stores.
The NCAC
is known to fight efforts to boycott
stores which sell pornography, or
advertisers that sponsor
violence and vulgarity on television. There is at least
one religious group
connected with such movements which is very well known. Other groups
which are members of NCAC include “American Civil
Liberties Union”, “Planned
Parenthood Federation of American”,
and “National Education
Association”.
Friends, if you think we are not at war and that the
divine standard of morality is not under attack, then
something is wrong with your thinking. It is a sad day indeed when religious
groups and others are thinking the way that is best described as evil. However,
that is the conclusion reached when the Bible has been forsaken. There is a
move on in our society to change the thinking and ways of generations back who
have known the way of righteousness and made a
stand for such.
Pornography’s most advanced claim is that it is part of a great
educational endeavor. This effort is found
in many places. In an issue of LOOK magazine a few years back reported on a 90
minute lecture given by a Dr. Mary Calderone to 320 adolescent
boys at Blair Academy, a prep school in N.J.
Humanist Calderone was quoted as telling
these youngsters:
We need new values to establish when and
how we should have sexual
experiences.
You are moving
beyond your parents.
First, separate
yourselves from your parents; Second, establish a male or female role;
Third, determine a value system. Nobody from up
on high determines
this, for you determine it.”
Hear it and remember, pornography is Anti
Love, Anti Home, Anti Self
Control, and Anti Bible!! Friends,
there is a
massive attack upon
our moral sensibilities. The church is being inundated
by worldliness and materialism. The very fabric of
civilization is unraveling
and the very
heart and soul
of society is
contaminated. Nevertheless, God
has not changed, and His word still condemns the matter we have under consideration in this article.
The Christian must take a firm and uncompromising stand against
pornography. Amen.
