God Can Make it Possible
Solomon, by inspiration wrote, “Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart: So shalt thou find favor and good understanding in the sight of God and man. Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy way acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” (Prov.3:3-6). We must acknowledge and always willing to accept the fact that God can meet us in the very depths of our weakness and often failures. Trust in the LORD with all thine heart is the divine order and condition. However, to talk of trusting in the LORD while doing evil, is to turn from the favor of God unto lasciviousness. Then, we have yielded to the evil one who seeks our complete ruin.
Lift up our eyes and look upon His ever noted righteousness. “For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward Him.” (2 Chr. 16:9). When we have that trust, we can lift up the head and move on through all sorts of difficulties. On the other hand, to attempt to tread the path of righteousness with a selfish mind and/or heart, is the most dangerous thing in this world. We are able to hold up the shield of faith only when our loins are girt about with truth, and the breast covered with the breastplate of righteousness!
There is a great truth, moral weight, and lasting value in the words of the apostle Paul; “Herein do I exercise myself, to have always a conscience void of offence toward God, and man.” (Acts 24:16). This great servant of the Lord ever sought to wear the breastplate, and to be clothed in the garment of righteousness, which is a must for all saints. It becomes our holy privilege to tread day by day, with firm steps the path of duty, the path of obedience, the path on which the light of God’s word approves. Then, assuredly, we can count on God, lean upon Him, draw from Him, and enjoy the spring of refreshing hope that is in Him! We are glad to wrap ourselves in His ever present faithfulness. “God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way of escape, that ye may be able to bear it.” (1 Cor.10:13). Therefore, we are able to move on in, peaceful communion toward our heavenly home not made with hands. This, God Makes Possible!!
