God Is Almighty In Power

When Abram was ninety years old and nine, the Lord appeared to Abram, and said unto him, “I am the Almighty God; walk before me.” (Gen.17:1). Inspiration has recorded in Hebrews 11:3, “By faith we understand that the worlds have been framed by the word of God, so that  what is seen hath  not been made  out of things  which appear.” There is a thinking, which is unbiblical, which states that both spirit and matter are eternal, and that spirit simply arranged matter in its present form. Now, to note just how this thinking is contrary to Scripture, give attention again to Hebrews 11:3, noting that the  things  which  are  seen  were  not  made  out of things which appear. Here is the fact of the matter; without any tools to work with, without any substance to work upon God spoke or commanded into existence that which before had never existed!

Some  of  our  modern  day  scientific  thinkers  have  no hesitation in their promoting the position that matter is responsible for all that is in the world. There are others who give matter the preeminent place in the universe. From this I believe we may draw a conclusion that these people must either believe that matter has always existed and that it  produced mind, or they must believe that there was a time when absolutely nothing, neither spirit nor matter, existed. If they believe in the eternity of matter, they by reason of argument, make a god out of matter. Also, if they believe there was a time when absolutely nothing existed, they are forced to take the position that nothing got busy and became something. And they make fun of us?? What a laugh!

However, there is a reasonable and correct conclusion. That conclusion is God Is Almighty In Power!! To this eternal truth David did write - “For he spake, and it was done; he commanded, and it stood fast.” (Psa.33:9). Again, “The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handiwork. Day unto day uttered speech, and night unto night sheweth  knowledge.”  (Psa.19:1-2).  Paul  made  this  announcement, “For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even the eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse.”  (Rom.1:20). Such is true because God  Is  Almighty  In  Power!
