I Hate Every False Way

God has made it very clear in His word that we are not to  love the world. “Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.”  (1 Jno.2:15). We are given warning that if any has a love of the world, making the world his friend, then that person is an enemy of God. (Jas.4:4). There is little doubt of the fact that a very long list could be made about things of the world we must not love, however, one or two things I wish to place before us for consideration.

I believe we are able to understand that God forbids us to have a love for the teachings noted by some who  belittle the Bible and its inspired message. We are aware of the fact that some who hold up the Bible before others and speak of it as being God’s Book, yet, they deny its Divine and everlasting truths. They speak of Christ being a great  and  wonderful  man and teacher, but they only mean in some sense that other people are considered the same way throughout the world. They will not admit the deity of Jesus. They will strip the Bible of its inspiration just as they would strip Christ of His deity. Every “Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.” (2 Tim.3:16). When reading the Bible, we do not read what the writers thought God said, rather, we read what God said!! Any teaching that denies the verbal inspiration, we are not to love, for it is of the world.

There is a devilish doctrine noted or called Theistic Evolution, and that also we must have no love for such an unbiblical view. One of their little play things is that the days of Genesis were much longer than a 24 hour day. To such, I have no love, and press upon them  to explain a  few  passages of  Scriptures.  There is a need for them to explain Gen.1:14 when it speaks of both day and night. If the days are long periods of time even reaching into millions of years; how shall years be explained? If a day is an age, then  what is a night? We also ask, when did God perform the operation? (Gen.2:21-22). Did He do this while we were yet hanging by our tails in the trees? Was it  a  much  earlier  date?   Had  we gotten out of the ammoniated sea of gas? Had we developed an elbow when He removed the rib? Friends, the days of Genesis were 24 hour days, and man was created by the Lord God full grown!! Deny such, and you deny the Bible. I am going to listen to God and not the world and what the world teaches. David made it very clear. “I hate every false way.”  (Psa.119:128).  Amen!
